Acorn Hall is an 1853 Victorian Italianate mansion where visitors can view the authentic furnishings and art pieces owned by the families that lived there, as well as other prominent Morris County families of the era.

Ford Mansion, Washington’s Headquarters was the former home of iron manufacturer Jacob Ford, Jr. It became Washington’s headquarters during the 1779-1780.

Visit Fosterfields Living Historical Farm and experience life from 1918-1927 through activities and interpreters in period attire. On the farm, you can witness seasonal planting, cultivating and harvesting.

Visit the birthplace of the telegraph, and immerse yourself in the Industrial Revolution. This is the site of what remains of the homestead of Stephen Vail, builder and proprietor of the Speedwell Ironworks.

Jockey Hollow is the site of the Continental Army’s winter encampment of 1779-80. The land served Washington’s men as they chopped down over 600 acres of trees for heat and shelter.

Field trips to the Morris Museum allow youth groups to experience hands-on learning using museum artifacts, reproductions, and interactive activities in the science, arts, and humanities exhibits and activities.
