In Durango, tucked in the back of the rail yard, you’ll discover the 12,000-square-foot train. The Museum was created in 1998 utilizing 8 stalls of the 15-stall roundhouse. Many families and old railroad workers have donated or provided artifacts that tell the history of the city of Durango and railroading.

Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum is a historic, cultural, and educational museum about the Southern Ute people in Ignacio, Colorado. The museum, surrounded by gardens, was built by Southern Ute tribe.

The Museum of Impressionism is situated on an 8 acre riverfront property and houses over 80 impressionist paintings by world renowned artist, John Modesitt, whose work exemplifies the paintings of the first impressionists. Offers a audio guided tour for over 60 paintings.
