Adirondack Experience offers exhibits that explore the spirit, history, culture, and people of the Adirondack region. Life in the Adirondacks is the largest permanent exhibition on the museum’s stunning 121-acre campus.

The Adirondack History Museum teaches Essex County’s past and shares stories about the roots and values of its people. Topic include early farming, frontier life, wilderness exploration, logging, mining, art and more.

The African American Museum of Nassau County provides an in-depth look at African American culture, art, and tradition, with an emphasis on Long Island.

The Albany Institute of History & Art interprets and promotes interest in the history, art, and culture of the region. Visitors experience object-based learning about visual arts, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics as they participate in hands-on activities. 

Explore the Brooklyn Historical Society’s collection of documents, artwork, and artifacts that bring to life the everyday experiences of Brooklynites from the past to the present.

The Buffalo History Museum teaches the relevance of Buffalo and Western NY in the development of the US and world. Tours can be tailored for student groups unique interests and self guided or with Museum docents. 

East Hampton Town Maritime Museum three floors of exhibits with artifacts, photographs, models and displays show how our marine environment has impacted upon the economic, social and recreational life of people.

At the Erie Canal Discovery Center, guests learn how canals and locks were created in the 19th Century. Visitors learn about canals being built by watching a movie. Attendees enjoy interactive displays and walk through the locks.

The Fraunces Tavern is an 18th-century tavern that was an important meeting place before, during, and after the Revolutionary War. Visitors can tour the museum and see period furnishings, paintings of the War, historic architecture and special exhibits.

At Freedom Crossing: The Underground Railroad of Greater Niagara, groups will discover the history of the secret passage that led many slaves to freedom through exhibits, which details the history of the slaves that traveled to Canada through the Buffalo Niagara area to escape slavery.
