VFC conserves the cultural heritage of Vermonters. Programs incorporate media-making tools and storytelling. The archive contains over 4000 audio recordings made with Vermonters from all walks of life, with a special concentration on farm life and rural experience.

The Vermont Granite Museum exhibits a living tradition of heritage, craft, and culture. The Museum creates stimulating, interactive environments for learning about the geology, technology, history, and art of Vermont’s unique granite heritage.

The Vermont History Museum has a 50-foot mural Salute to Vermont, exhibits on three-and-a-half centuries of Vermont history, from Samuel de Champlain’s arrival in the Champlain Valley in 1609 to the development of Vermont’s ski industry in the late 1950s.

Since 1988, the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum has been dedicated to collecting, preserving and celebrating the rich history of skiing and riding in Vermont.
