Field trips to the IMAG History & Science Center can include admission to the museum, SEA-to-SEE Touch Tank, IMAG LIVE Animal Show, Hands-On Hall, Weather Experience, a Walk Through History, Backyard Nature, Fisheye Lagoon, and other interactive activities, exhibits, and displays. Groups can also enhance their visit with a Science Assembly, STEM Workshop, 3D movies, Fossil Hunt, Science on a Sphere Show, and the Hurricane Simulator. IMAG brings the FIELD TRIP to your school for your families. Serving up science, technology, engineering, and math activities along with a delicious dinner, Project INSPIRE is an outreach program of IMAG History & Science Center creating family-fun learning opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s education. IMAG provides dinner and STEM activities on special evenings. Designed to nurture intellectual curiosity, foster critical thinking, and encourage problem solving, Project INSPIRE is also helping to strengthen the family while inspiring the student’s lifelong love for learning. Advancing excellence in STEM education, SESSIONS are taught by professional museum educators who inspire and engage students while providing personal care to meet their needs in a fun, supportive environment. All IMAG educational programs are correlated to Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. In addition to Homeschool Field Trip sessions, IMAG offers Homeschool Makers’ Clubs giving students hands-on opportunities to imagine and create their own unique projects in a digital fabrication and learning laboratory called the FabLab. FABLab sessions are open to FIELD TRIPS for homeschool students, schools, and other organizations. Advancing science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) literacy, the Rist Family Foundation FABLab, an education initiative of the IMAG History & Science Center, is a digital fabrication and learning laboratory for homeschool students to make (almost) anything they can dream up, design, and develop using advanced tools, technologies, and materials. IMAG is committed to advancing Florida’s academic standing for students. FABLAB SESSIONS
Offering a prototype platform for all sorts of innovation and invention, the Rist Family Foundation FABLab is a stimulus for the creative family, a collaborative space for problem solving, learning, and manufacturing sessions together. The entrepreneurs and engineers, innovators and inventors, scientists and students of your family are welcome. Reservations are required. At the FABLab, students and family members gain valuable knowledge, skills, and a deep appreciation for the engineering and design process, its materials and machines, technologies and tools, as they imagine and create projects of personal interest and import. IMAG is committed to strengthening the family, contributing to workforce development, and advancing Florida’s academic standing.
