On a guided tour Prabhupada’s Palace of Gold you’ll learn about the history of the building, the community, the people and the person, Srila Prabhupada, for whom it was built. The Palace features marble from around the world, antiques, original artworks, handcrafted teakwood, gold and more. 

Prickett’s Fort State Park features a reconstruction of the original Prickett’s Fort, which served as a place of refuge during colonial times. This historical park commemorates late 18th-century life on the Virginia frontier.

At the Schrader Environmental Education Center nature experience a sense of a shared love of nature. Study West Virginia’s native habitats and connect to nature through hands-on experiences.

The Seneca Caverns are caves that were used by the Seneca Indians for shelter, storage, and special ceremonies. Landmark of underground geological formations, the Caverns offer tours, gemstone mining & adventure caving.

Explore the arts and sciences at Spark! Imagination and Science Center. The hands-on exhibits and programs will spark a lifelong love of learning.

Stauffer’s Marsh Nature Preserve consists of 46-acres of primarily wetland in Back Creek Valley is restored wetland ponds and marshes. Stauffer’s Marsh is a paradise for migrating and nesting waterfowl.

Three Rivers Avian Center is dedicated to wild bird conservation and ecosystem stewardship. See birds of prey including Hawks, Eagles, Falcons, and Owls. Free public tour days and private scheduled tours available.

Trillium Performing Arts is a community based performing arts organization and school that enriches the Greenbrier Valley of southern West Virginia. Trillium offers free school shows for elementary school students.

Learn about the mining and petroleum industries at the Royce J. and Caroline B. Watts Museum in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University.

Visit the landscaped gardens at West Virginia Botanic Garden featuring plants such as daffodils, irises, ferns, lichens, and crocus flowers. Observe a variety of wildlife among the plants such as birds and butterflies.

The West Virginia Governor’s Mansion is the official residence of West Virginia’s governor and First Lady. A historic residence located near the Kanawha River, the mansion is a Colonial Revival style building.

The West Virginia Independence Hall was constructed in 1860, it was originally built as a custom house for the Western District of Virginia. Its completion provided a facility for heated political discussions that led to eventual statehood.
