FIELD TRIPS

Educational programs and tours at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum teach students about topics in Texas history such as early Ranger history, modern crime scene technology and major figures in Ranger history. We also provide a CSI program for younger students that gives them the opportunity to solve a robbery using similar methods to Texas Rangers. Students can explore the galleries on their own utilizing the museum’s scavenger hunt and watch a 45-minute video presentation during self-guided tours. All museum tours and programs align with TEKS.

One of the most popular attractions in the state, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum is the official repository for the Texas Rangers. The museum’s 14,000 irreplaceable artifacts date back to 1823 and include badges, firearms, tack, and personal gear. Also on display are possessions of the notorious outlaws, Bonnie and Clyde, and memorabilia from the Lone Ranger and Walker, Texas Ranger. The hall of fame is dedicated to 35 brave Rangers who gave their lives in the line of duty and who served with great distinction.

Scouts can work towards badges and patches while learning about scouting, the Texas Rangers, and the history of Texas. Programs for scouts focus on topics such as history, mapmaking, crime prevention, forensic science and public service. All programs include either a guided tour or a 45-minute video presentation, if requested. Weekend programming is limited and based on availability.
