Exhibits allow groups to express their inner artist; travel back to 1920's Egypt for the adventure of a lifetime; sell or trade products at a roadside market; get fit and healthy; climb, crawl, jump, and slide through a three-story urban treehouse; and more. During guided visits, groups can make virtual cookies, act out hieroglyphics, learn how to make Egyptian Papyrus Paper, extract DNA from wheat germ, explore the exciting world of Japanese poetry, and participate in many other activities.

The first children’s museum in the world was the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, founded in 1899. Hundreds of children’s museums have opened in the United States since then. As of 2007, the Association of Children’s Museums estimated that there were approximately 80 children’s museums in development alone.
