The Hampton History Museum focuses on the history of Hampton. Exhibits feature Native American clothing, Civil War photos, artifacts of the seafood industry, and more.

Hampton University Museum is the oldest African American museum in the United States. With over 9,000 art objects representing various cultures around the world, the museum offers groups a varied cultural fine art experience.

The Elizabeth River Project’s Dominion Energy Learning Barge is the world’s first floating wetland classroom, teaching the children of the river environmental stewardship actions and showing how to make the Elizabeth River healthier!

At the Mariners’ Museum and Park, home to a replica of the ironclad ship USS Monitor and artifacts recovered from her shipwreck, explore over 90,000 sq. ft. of gallery space with figureheads, ship models, paintings, and more.
