The American Folk Art Museum explores the art of the self-taught, from the 18th century to the present. It attempts to understand folk art through the unconventional paths and experiences of those who create it.

The American Museum of Natural History’s permanent exhibitions include the Biodiversity and Environmental Halls; the Birds and Reptiles and Amphibians Halls; the Earth and Planetary Sciences Halls and more.

At the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, visitors will learn about the story of Anne Frank’s life through an interactive exhibit that incorporates diary excerpts, stories, images, and photographs in order to tie in the larger story of the Holocaust.

Asia Society is dedicated to promoting partnerships between Asia and the United States in the arts, culture, education, and policy. Its museum contains exhibitions of traditional and contemporary Asian and Asian American art.

As your group visits Battery Urban Farm’s vegetable farm, forest farm, and oyster restoration stations, they will get hands-on lessons in sustainable farming techniques as well as New York City’s native plants, animals, and insects.

The Center for Architecture shares the ideas and experiences of practicing architects with the public through exhibits and programming. School groups may enjoy hands-on workshops as well as walking tours of New York City.
