The Camp Brookside Environmental Education Center is a 32 acre island with a restored residential facility; complete with seven cabins, communal wash house, large mess hall and commercial kitchen.

Cool Spring Nature Preserve consists of 32 acres of forest, meadow, and marsh. Bullskin Run, a major stream with significant historical value, borders one side of the preserve. Cool Spring is designated as a “birding hotspot.”

The Cranberry Mountain Nature Center in Monongahela National Forest features an exhibit hall, auditorium, events and programs, as well as a native plant garden and nature trail.

The 354-acre Eidolon Nature Preserve is located along the summit and east side of Sideling Hill. The preserve features dense mountaintop forests, several ground-fed natural springs, and commanding views of the Potomac River.

Located near the Kanawha Valley, the Kanawha State Forest offers groups 9,300 acres of lush green where they can enjoy a variety of fun activities while experiencing nature.

The New River Birding & Nature Center sits on a gem of a spot that drips with migrating birds and overflows with plant and wildlife. The Center is an outdoor classroom featuring a Wetlands Boardwalk and self-interpretive Woodland Trails.

At the Schrader Environmental Education Center nature experience a sense of a shared love of nature. Study West Virginia’s native habitats and connect to nature through hands-on experiences.

Stauffer’s Marsh Nature Preserve consists of 46-acres of primarily wetland in Back Creek Valley is restored wetland ponds and marshes. Stauffer’s Marsh is a paradise for migrating and nesting waterfowl.

Named after Dr. Alfred Yankauer, the Potomac Valley Audubon’s Yankauer Nature Preserve is a 104-acre property that offers a place to enjoy and learn about nature.
