The Blue Heron Nature Center and its 10-acre green space includes a butterfly garden, picnic area, outdoor classroom, observation decks and a 4,200-square-foot Learning Center.

Rich in natural, cultural and historical resources, the Ravenel Caw Caw Interpretive Center offers a journey into the past and discovery of heritage. 

Hilton Pond Center is the most active bird research center in South Carolina’s Piedmont teaching about wildflowers, animals, Hilton Pond and more.

Started as a royal land grant in 1718, this 16,000-acre refuge is now used for teaching and research. Hobcaw Barony encompasses a rich diversity of every common ecosystem found on the South Carolina coast.

Lake Conestee Nature Park consists of approximately 400 acres of beautiful natural habitat with hardwood and evergreen forest, extensive wetlands, 3 miles of the Reedy River, and a rich diversity of wildlife habitat and over 200 bird species.

The 676-acre Lynches River Park park features a river swamp with towering cypress trees, sand hills, and a wide variety of vegetation. Activities include canoeing, hiking, geocaching, and an Environmental Discovery Center.
