Students will have the chance to learn about the science behind film and television in the Backstage Studio, design and construct an earthquake-proof building, and explore the world of transportation with Move It! They can travel to exotic destinations through the center's digital cinema, or have an unforgettable experience at the Broadway-style Theater. Younger learners can explore science at KidsPlace. The Whitaker Center’s Educational Outreach Fund offers financial assistance for field trips, and schools that participate in the School District Partnership Contract (SDPC) can save on group admission.

Scouts

Girl Scouts can participate in a variety of fun programs at the Whitaker Center. Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors can attend sessions at the center throughout the year, during which they can work on STEM-related badges such as Home Scientist, Entertainment Technology, and more. Workshops focus on robotics, programming, and other STEM topics. Scouts can spend time in the Harsco Science Center after the workshop at no additional fee.
