Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine
The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine inspires discovery and imagination through exploration and play. It has earned several awards including the MetLife Promising Practice Award and was named one of the 12 Best Children's Museums in the US by Forbes. Interactive exhibits include an outdoor sea adventure; exploration of a camera obscura; a play-sized model of a town farmers’s market; an indoor playscape; an exciting study of physics with accelerating balls, ramps, and roller coasters; and much more! The cafe holds a vending machine filled with healthy drink and snack choices or visitors can bring their own. The Theatre & Museum offers diverse educational and cultural programs for Early Childhood and Elementary students and special events with inclusive playtime for children with sensory integration challenges.
