Biggs Museum of American Art

The Biggs Museum of American Art holds an extensive collection of American fine and decorative arts that provides a platform for education in American history and the arts. The museum’s permanent collection includes the only comprehensive representational American paintings collection on the Delmarva Peninsula. Paintings and furniture, from the 18th-century to folk and the early modern, give a look at the diversity of American styles. Sculptures, tools, and other objects give a look at the history of form and composition. The museum has over 1,500 objects in its collection and rotates exhibitions every 3-4 months, so there is always something new to see at the Biggs Museum of American Art.
