SCOUT ACTIVITIES

The NBMAA offers youth-centered interdisciplinary visits created to engage scouts in dialogue and discussion while looking at works of art in the galleries and engaging in exploratory art projects in the American Savings Foundation Art & Education Center.

Badge programs combine an interactive gallery tour with a studio lesson. Girl Scouts can learn about the elements and techniques of a chosen medium (painting, drawing, or collage), while Boy Scouts can explore historical periods of American art. Scouts then apply what they've learned by experimenting with different art materials, and creating a work of art to take home.
