Middlebury College Museum of Art has a collection of several thousand objects ranging from antiquity to contemporary art, including distinguished Asian art, photography, 19th-century European and American sculpture, and contemporary prints.

The Rokeby Museum is a National Historic Landmark, designated for its exceptional Underground Railroad history. Rokeby is one of the best-documented Underground Railroad sites in the county.

On the Vermont African American Heritage Trail groups will explore museums, cultural sites, exhibits, films and tours that illuminate African American history in Vermont.

VFC conserves the cultural heritage of Vermonters. Programs incorporate media-making tools and storytelling. The archive contains over 4000 audio recordings made with Vermonters from all walks of life, with a special concentration on farm life and rural experience.
