Acorn Hall is an 1853 Victorian Italianate mansion where visitors can view the authentic furnishings and art pieces owned by the families that lived there, as well as other prominent Morris County families of the era. 

The Alice Paul Institute, inside the home of Alice Paul’s birthplace and was created to further the legacy of Paul’s work for gender equality. Offers in-person field trips, virtual field trips and outreach programs.

Ford Mansion, Washington’s Headquarters was the former home of iron manufacturer Jacob Ford, Jr. It became Washington’s headquarters during the 1779-1780.

The Long Pond Ironworks Museum is a former country store in the area that were known to house 19th-century ironwork enterprises. It is part of the 175-acre historic district.

Montclair History Center offers four historic homes for public viewing, including the Nathaniel Crane House, Clark House and Library and the Charles Shultz House, all built in the 18th or 19th centuries.

The New Jersey State Police Museum & Learning Center includes stories about Prohibition in the 1920s, the life of a police trainee and more. 

Paterson Museum’s collections includes local archaeology, history, and mineralogy. The museum relates to the history of Paterson industry by showing its evolution as a machinery and textile center, the “Silk City”.
